i was reading through a forum and i came to realise that not many Singapore youths are proud of having Asian culture. and neither do they have the simplest respect for any religion in Singapore [or any part of Asia]. i mean, c'mon! if you hate the Asian culture, then leave Singapore, leave Asia. if you think the Asian culture is a form of stupidity and restrictions, look at your parents and your grandparents; look at your friends then. and most importantly, look at yourself in the mirror. aren't you even proud of yourself? Singapore may be small. but if being small gives you a reason to say that this place is boring, then you yourself are boring. because you can't even look on the brighter side and take joy in the little things in this little island.

i'm happy to be living in an Asian country and proud of the Asian culture. and i don't even find this little island boring! i wouldn't mind working or staying in a foreign land. but still, at the back of my mind, i know that this little island is my home. and that's one of the few things that nobody can change, or take away.
